Pedestrian Accidents in California
Sadly, over 1,000 children suffer fatal injuries every year after being involved in an accident. Negligence plays a huge role in most pedestrian accidents. Drivers that use speed, use cell phones, drive under the influence, or fall asleep at the wheel put pedestrians at risk every day. The police are working to figure out if speed was a factor in this accident. The driver who struck Nguyen was very cooperative at the scene. Officials haven’t released the driver’s name yet and it’s unclear if charges will be pressed.
Nguyen’s parents could file a wrongful death lawsuit if negligence caused this accident. It’s vital that the parents work with an experienced attorney that has the resources to prove negligence in the event that the negligent party tries to avoid taking responsibility.
