Bakersfield, CA – Man Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on S. Chester Ave

Bakersfield, CA (June 19, 2019) On the morning of June 19^th, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of South Chester Avenue and La France Drive. A 2016 or 2017 Honda Civic struck a man who was crossing the intersection in an unmarked crosswalk. The accident happened at about 12:50 a.m.

When the paramedics arrived, they found the injured victim lying in the roadway. They immediately rushed the victim to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Sadly, the suspected vehicle fled the scene after striking the man.

Authorities are currently searching for the driver responsible for hitting the pedestrian.
