Baldwin Park, CA – Vinson Thomasi Fatally Struck by Car on Eastbound I-10 Near Francisquito Ave
Baldwin Park, CA (April 27, 2019) – Vinson Thomasi, 25, of Norwalk passed away early Friday after he was hit by a car on the 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park. He had exited another car which was involved in a previous minor accident.
California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this fatal accident. According to CHP officers, the crash occurred at 3:05 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway, just west of Francisquito Avenue.
Thomasi was a passenger in a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo which had been involved in a minor accident with a 2016 Volkswagen Passat. The Monte Carlo was disabled and stuck in the fast lane. Thomasi then got out of the 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and was standing beside the vehicle.
A 2013 Toyota Prius driven by an 18-year-old Ontario woman then came onto the scene. The driver failed to see Thomasi who was standing near the Monte Carlo. The driver was unable to slow down or stop and hit Thomasi. The Prius continued moving and then hit a 1995 Toyota Camry that was being driven by a 66-year-old West Covina man.
Thomasi was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the Monte Carlo, Camry, and the Passat were unhurt. The driver of the Prius was treated for injuries.
The investigation of the crash is underway.
We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Vinson Thomasi who passed away as a result of this fatal accident. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
California Pedestrian Wrongful Death
When a person is outside a vehicle and the driver of a motor vehicle hits them, it is a no-brainer to realize that the pedestrian will be the one who dies. That makes it all the more important for drivers to pay attention even if it’s not a normal place where pedestrians might be present.
Unfortunately, drivers do not always pay close attention. A pedestrian is killed every two hours in a traffic accident. In just one year, 14 percent of all fatalities in car crashes are the pedestrians.
If your family member died because of a careless driver, a wrongful death claim is the best way to get justice. Compensation for a wrongful pedestrian death can help you receive lost income, final medical and burial expenses, and also provide the satisfaction of knowing that the careless driver has been held responsible for their actions. Retaining the services of an experienced attorney is the best way to pursue justice.
If you or your loved one has passed away due to a pedestrian accident, seek the help of an attorney with solid experience. Brady Law Group can help you deal with the legal pitfalls of this situation and help you handle claims with insurance companies.
