Coachella, CA – 1 Dead After Crash on Hwy 86

Coachella, CA (March 21, 2019) – A rollover crash killed one person on Wednesday around 11:00 a.m.

According to reports, a black Silverado turned over in the southbound lanes of Highway 86, near 50th Avenue. The cause of the crash is unknown. However, officials are investigating whether a big rig truck might have been involved.

The lanes of Hwy 86 in which the accident occurred were closed at 50th Avenue for an investigation into the cause of the crash. The closure caused a traffic back-up as far as Dillon Road.
