Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in California
Every year in California, thousands of pedestrians are hit and killed by drivers. According to California law, all vehicles must come to a complete stop when pedestrians are present. However, all too often, many drivers fail to heed this law. In many cases, drivers do not even reduce their speed when pedestrians are attempting to legally cross the road at an intersection.
Pedestrians have the right to travel by foot within the law. When drivers move at unsafe speeds or fail to yield, they are not only breaking the law– they are infringing on pedestrians’ rights and threatening their lives.
