Imperial, CA – Two People Injured after Two-Vehicle Accident along Carter and Forrester Roads

Imperial, CA (July 25, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that an accident involving two vehicles took place in the vicinity of Carter and Forrester Roads. The incident happened at approximately 6:05 AM in the early morning on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Authorities have identified the two injured drivers as 30-year old Emily Suarez and 54-year old Martin Castrellon.

According to the report from CHP, Suarez had been seated inside a 2009 Nissan that had been directed westbound on Carter Road. At some point, Castrellon was driving a Jeep north along Forrester Road. As Suarez entered the intersection of both roadways, the Jeep plowed into her Nissan. As a result, both vehicles veered out of control and skidded to a halt on the north section of Carter Road. Afterward, paramedics rushed to the crash site and administered aid to the victims.

Later, Suarez was flown to Desert Regional Medical Center, where she received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, Castrellon also required hospitalization for minor injuries.

As of now, the investigation into a potential cause of the crash is ongoing. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.

We extend our most heartfelt prayers and loving thoughts to the two victims of the crash and wish them swift and efficient recoveries.
