Pedestrian Accidents in California
Unfortunately, pedestrian fatalities account for 16 percent of all traffic accident fatalities in the United States. Whenever pedestrians are hit by vehicles, it’s usually due to drivers being inattentive on the roads. Drivers have a legal obligation to lookout for pedestrians at all times. This includes when pedestrians are jaywalking, walking within a marked crosswalk, walking in parking lots, and walking in alleys. Drivers should be alert of pedestrians at any place and at any time, especially at night. When drivers choose not to give the road their undivided attention, they risk seriously harming pedestrians.
