Napa, CA – Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Soscal Avenue

Napa, CA (January 17, 2019) – On Tuesday, January 15, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident took place that caused serious injuries to a 62-year-old woman on Soscal Avenue.

The accident took place around 6:42 p.m. in the evening in the area of Lincoln and Jackson Street. The woman’s name has not yet been released but police say that, at the time, she was struck by a dark-colored sedan that had been headed southbound. She was crossing Soscal Avenue.

The victim received life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center with head and facial injuries. At this time, she still suffers from critical injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle failed to stop at the scene and instead fled the scene with extensive damages to the windshield and front-end of their car.

Authorities closed down the roadway for five hours while they worked to gather more information to help with the investigation. The investigation into the driver continues at this time.
