North Hollywood, CA – 3 Car Accident Kills 1 at North Vineland Ave and Victory Blvd
North Hollywood, CA (March 27, 2019) – A three-vehicle crash caused the death of a pedestrian on Tuesday, March 26th, at the intersection of Vineland Avenue and Victory Boulevard.
The accident occurred in the 11000 block of Victory Boulevard around 3:10 p.m. Reports noted that a BMW sped through northbound Vineland Avenue, running a red light. This led to the BMW crashing into a Honda turning onto southbound Victory Boulevard.
The collision threw the BMW into a parked car in the parking lot of a nearby CVS pharmacy. Following the crash with the parked car, the vehicle hit the sign for the CVS and then crashed into a bus stop, striking a woman waiting for the bus.
Witnesses rushed to the aid of the woman, who was crushed under the vehicle. Despite their efforts, the woman, who is reportedly in her 60s, passed away at the hospital.
The Honda driver and the BMW driver experienced minor injuries and were hospitalized. Their names and conditions are unknown at this time.
Authorities noted that the BMW driver might have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
