Sacramento, CA – Man Struck and Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Florin Road

Sacramento, CA (February 6, 2019) – Early Tuesday, police responded to a fatal pedestrian crash that took place on Florin Road in South Sacramento County that took the life of one man.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident and claimed that they spoke to witnesses, who said that the man had been lying in the roadway before he was suddenly struck by a silver sedan. Witnesses are not sure what caused the man to be in the roadway.

The accident was reported through 911 around 12:48 a.m. The victim was lying in the far right lane in the eastbound lanes of Florin Road just east of Highway 99.

Paramedics tragically pronounced the man dead at the scene. He had major head injuries and was bleeding from the head when they found him. His name has not yet been released pending notification of family.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
