San Diego, CA – 69-Year-Old Injured in Pedestrian Accident Along Linda Vista Road

San Diego, CA (January 26, 2019) – Police reported that a 69-year-old man was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident that took place along Linda Vista Road. The accident took place last evening around 6:35 p.m.

Police say that the accident was a hit-and-run pedestrian accident with the driver fleeing the scene after they struck the elderly man. The 69-year-old, whose name has not yet been released, had been walking across the road when he was suddenly struck by the passenger’s side mirror of a vehicle that was headed south at the time. Paramedics quickly responded and found that the man received traumatic head injuries due to the accident.

The man was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle that struck him pulled into the parking lot of a business as if they were going to pull over and check on him. However, then ultimately fled the scene.

Now, police are searching for the silver 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck and the driver responsible. The mirror was left at the scene.

The investigation into this accident continues at this time.
