Pedestrian Accidents in Cities and Suburbs
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that a pedestrian is killed in an accident every 1.5 hours. This staggering number demonstrates the importance of drivers staying alert while driving. Keep an eye open at intersections so you can stop quickly if a pedestrian approaches. Pedestrians are common on busy city or suburban streets; when you are in an area with many pedestrians, adjust your speed and stay alert.
