San Francisco, CA – Pedestrian Accident Critically Injures Woman on Grove Street

San Francisco, CA (January 23, 2019) – Police reported that a 23-year-old woman, whose name has not yet been released, was critically injured in a pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver.

The accident allegedly took place in the area of Grove and Fillmore Streets on Sunday around 6:40 p.m. At the time, the woman had been attempting to cross the street when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle that was traveling west at the time.

Paramedics immediately responded and found the pedestrian lying in the roadway, suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. She was immediately rushed to the hospital and has since been listed in critical condition.

The elderly driver fled the scene but crashed about a block away from the accident scene, which is where police were able to catch up to her. She was arrested for fleeing the scene.
