Santa Ana, CA – One Person Killed in Train Accident on Walnut Street

Santa Ana, CA (February 7, 2019) – Last night, February 6, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a train accident that took place on Walnut Street near East First Street. The accident happened around 9:05 p.m.

The accident took place close to the area of the 1100 block of Walnut Street, according to police. Police responded to the area between the Fullterton and Santa Ana stations.

The victim was struck by an Amtrak Train A591 under circumstances that are not yet known. The victim’s age, gender, and name have not yet been disclosed. The pedestrian was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic at the station was closed for quite some time following the accident. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
