Sunnyvale, CA – 8 Injured in Major Pedestrian Accident in El Camino Real

Sunnyvale, CA (April 24, 2019) On the night of April 23^rd, a major pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of El Camino Real and Sunnyvale Avenue at approximately 6:40 p.m. Reports state that a man was driving his vehicle down El Camino Real and struck a group of pedestrians who were walking on a crosswalk. The driver proceeded to crash into pedestrians who were at the corner before he crashed into a tree.

When emergency crews got to El Camino Real, they found a total of eight pedestrians hurt, including a 13-year-old girl. They transported all of them to local hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The police immediately arrested the driver and are currently investigating what led up to the dangerous incident.
