Pedestrian Accidents in California
California law states that pedestrians always have the right-of-way. Pedestrians found crossing streets outside of a crosswalk may be ticketed if caught by police. However, even if pedestrians are found outside the crosswalk, automobile drivers are required to yield to them.
Because pedestrians move far slower than drivers, any driver distraction can lead to a collision, from texting to being under the influences of substances. If you have been involved in a pedestrian accident, you may need legal representation in order to receive the compensation you deserve.
