Torrance, CA – Jose Cigarroa Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on I-405

Torrance, CA (May 8, 2019) On the morning of May 5^th, a fatal pedestrian accident happened on the Interstate 405 Freeway. A man was walking near the Artesia Boulevard exit when a vehicle stuck him. The impact of the crash threw the man into the freeway’s slow lane. The accident happened at around 4:25 a.m.

When emergency personnel arrived and found him lying on the roadway, he had already suffered fatal injuries. He has been identified as 60-year-old Jose Cigarroa.

Crews shut down all of the southbound lanes on the freeway as they cleared and investigated the scene.
