Burn Injury Lawsuits

Regardless of how the accident occurred, when a person suffers a severe burn it is a traumatic and often life-altering event.  If the plaintiff’s injuries were caused by another party’s negligence or defective product, he or she can bring a personal injury lawsuit seeking damages from those responsible.  The damages available in a severe burn injury lawsuit will vary depending on the facts of each case.  In general, these damages will include past and future medical expenses, lost earnings and pain and suffering.  If a person dies as the result of their injuries, the family members of the deceased can bring a wrongful death action seeking damages from the responsible parties.  The Brady Law Group works with a highly skilled team of medical professionals to help us properly document severe burn injuries and establish the damages suffered by our clients or their family members.

It is important to note that burn injury cases are subject to various statutes of limitation.  Statutes of limitation are laws which limit the amount of time a person has to file a lawsuit and they must be strictly complied with.  If a lawsuit is not filed within the time provided, the claim will be barred forever and the plaintiff will not be entitled to any recovery.
